An absolute TONIC of a wedding! Dentist Myra, a most FUN Bride, wickedly hilarious – we had the best St Patrick’s Day with Myra Compton and her handsome Army Ranger Groom Lucas Simpson. All the way from Savannah, Georgia, USA.
Exquisite flowers from Olga at The Flower Shed and cake from Park Lane Cakes. DJ Tommy Elliott took to the decks, while Gemma Crossan was on hair, Sharon McCormack on Makeup, Diane from Thediart – a live wedding painter, painting all day. They all did an incredible job.
There was a bunch of local Irish dancers, followed by HIT machine Drummers. What a way to hail St Patrick’s Day for their Irish heritage. An absolute belter… a truly special wedding !!
There’s something totally magical about a spring wedding at Markree Castle. The grounds come alive with green and the soft golden light is endlessly flattering, in every photograph. Myra and Lucas’s St. Patrick’s Day celebration was a masterclass in luxury. Delicate flowers by Olga at The Flower Shed and the candlelit banquet in the grand hall, every detail was refined, but still full of personality.
Myra, in her beautiful gown and infectious laughter, and Lucas in a traditional tux, brought such energy to the day. Add in live dancers, thunderous drummers and guests who never left the dance floor, and you’ve got an elegant and electric wedding. A spring celebration like no other. We can't think of anything better to do on St. Patrick's Day.
Ireland has a magic that’s perfect for a wedding day; Myra and Lucas’s day is proof of that. The castle walls echoed with the wedding band, laughter, and that unmistakable St. Patrick’s Day spirit. Dancers filled the hall with rhythm, and when the drummers started, the entire room came alive. This was tradition, joy, culture and celebration. The perfect Irish wedding in every way.
Markree Castle is the dream setting… candlelight, stone walls, a roaring fire and the mist across the grounds outside. Myra and Lucas’s charm made everyone feel at home, their warmth and Irish hospitality, even from the USA (even the bridesmaids dresses were green). Every moment felt like a moment to treasure. This wasn’t just a wedding, it was a love letter to Ireland.
